Screw Nuts Snap Puzzle: The Unscrewing Order That Unlocks Everything

Updated 2026-11-02 · GameVault Guides

Screw Nuts Snap Puzzle belongs to the wonderfully satisfying unscrewing genre: plates held down by crossed screws, a tray of empty holes, and exactly one order that untangles everything. The trap is obvious in hindsight — screws block screws, and the first one you remove is rarely the first one you should.

Count overlaps before you touch anything

Look at the plate and find the screw that sits on top of the fewest others. That is almost always your first move. Removing a screw frees the ones beneath it, so each removal should unlock at least one new candidate. If your last three moves did not unlock anything, you removed in the wrong order somewhere — restart rather than force it, the level will not un-jam.

Holes are the real currency

Every removed screw needs somewhere to go, and your tray is finite. Some boards are only solvable if you park early screws in specific holes to leave adjacent ones open. When a board looks unsolvable, the issue is usually not the order — it is where you placed the first five screws. Think of holes as parking spaces with consequences.

Late-game method: work in layers

  1. Peel the topmost layer of overlaps first, even if progress feels slow.
  2. Keep one empty hole in reserve at all times for emergencies.
  3. When two screws block each other mutually, look for the third screw pinning one of them.

Follow the overlap count and the layers method, and the tangled boards start resolving themselves. Grab a coffee and unscrew your way through Screw Nuts Snap Puzzle.
